I beat a video game all by myself. Just now (10 minutes ago) I finally finished Limbo. I asked for it for my birthday (in March) because I saw the similar art in a Deadmau5 music video (The Veldt) and really liked it. Well, in true spirit, I finally beat the game. It only took a little while....

Being incredible involved at school between classes and extra curriculars, I don't really have time to even touch the PS3. Since I finished the semester on Thursday, I celebrated today (by washing most of the salt off the car in the morning, putting in a full day at work, and coming home to get a free iMac, and teaching my dad some new things about computers) by eventually getting to my PS3 and finishing this game.

Not being a game, and not having any cars in it, and being pretty difficult for a non-gamer like myself, this is a big accomplishment. The last time I beat a video game was back in like, middle school when I still had time for my Gameboy Color or my sisters PS2. It's been a long long time. Just don't think this means I'll have time to play more video games. It took me nearly a full year to finish Borderlands 2 with my girlfriend, and about 8 months to finish Limbo.

I'm satisfied with myself, so it's time for bed. Every package I haven't had any time to mail out lately is going out tomorrow. Sorry for the delays. If post offices or other shipping stores were open when I got out of work (and I wasn't so busy I couldn't get out for a few minutes to take care of it), they would have been out some time ago. Patience recipients! You're reaping the rewards!

Was it good? I've played the demo on PS3 and was thinking of getting the full version on my iPad.

I played that until I got stuck for a long time. Fun game.

It was a great game. I mean, as someone who rarely plays video games, this is the only single player I've been compelled to play. I prefer Borderlands 2, because I can play with my girlfriend over PSN when she's at home (why I got the console to begin with).

There are certain "levels" that stumped me a lot, but if I had to judge my overall play time, it was probably about 5-6 hours total, and it was worth it. It's really frustrating, and I didn't love the ending cut scene, but it was a good game.

There were some extremely frustrating challenges, but finally getting through them was nice relief. I actually didn't use the internet to beat any of the levels, but did get help from my sisters when they were watching me fail...over and over...it was a good game though, definitely.
